Voice and video calls built into every project, plus how call recording, transcription, and disclosure work on the Team plan.
Every project has a built-in group chat and DMs, free on every plan. Voice calls are included starting on Pro — start a call from project context, no separate app or link required. Video calls and screen sharing are included on Team, for standups, sprint reviews, and pair-programming sessions without leaving the platform.
Call recording and AI transcription are a Team-plan feature. Free and Pro calls can't be recorded.
Any participant on a Team plan can record a call or meeting. When recording starts, everyone in the call gets a real-time notification and a persistent REC indicator stays visible until recording stops. Recordings are audio-only and produce an AI transcript and linked meeting notes.
There is no silent recording — the notification and the REC indicator are shown to every participant for the full duration of the recording, not just at the start.
During an active call, any participant on a Team plan can click the Record button in the call controls. Every participant is notified immediately, and a REC indicator stays on screen for everyone until recording stops.
Recording stops automatically when the call ends — there's no separate stop button, so a recording covers the whole remainder of the call once started.
Once a call ends, its audio recording is processed into an AI transcript and linked to a meeting note on the project — action items are extracted automatically. You can also upload an external audio recording to a project and get the same transcript and notes treatment.
UnityFreak records audio only. Video and screen-share content shown during a Team call is never captured or stored.
